He sees investment management as just one piece of every client’s larger financial puzzle and prefers to focus on each client’s overall financial picture. For Glen, financial planning is about helping people reflect on their goals and dreams, and then finding the right tools to help them get there.
Glen joined Wheeler DeGraaf Financial in 2014, bringing with him 14 years of client service and charitable planning experience. Prior to Wheeler DeGraaf, he served as director of philanthropic services at the Central Minnesota Community Foundation. Glen is an active member of the Central Minnesota Estate Planning Council and Leave a Legacy of Central Minnesota.
Glen understands that the first question most clients ask is whether they will have enough to meet their needs, but he knows that a successful plan helps people look beyond that to their dreams—and ultimately the legacy they want to leave behind. Glen believes in guiding clients to and through retirement—whatever that looks like for them--whether it is travel and adventure, spending time with family and friends, supporting the next generation or their favorite causes, or leaving their community a better place when they are gone. Glen seeks to understand each client and help them meet their unique goals utilizing his investment knowledge, charitable and estate planning experience, and connections with local tax and legal professionals.
Glen is a 1996 graduate of Saint John's University, where he competed in NCAA Cross Country and Track (and he says he’s been meaning to get back into shape for 25 years now). He enjoys sharing meals with friends, playing cards, traveling, and taking walks with his wife Jenny, who is a teacher in Sartell where they live. Glen and Jenny have two children: William, a senior at the University of St. Thomas, and Annabelle, who is in her first year at the University of Notre Dame.
